A Day in Space is the creative union of two distinct voices: Magdalene (mkourti) and Nikos (beingthere) — two visual artists, each with over a decade of experience capturing weddings in a RAW, honest, and poetic way.

Before becoming ONE (dayinspace), we met at a wedding — as separate artists: she the photographer, he the videographer. From the very first moment, everything just clicked. There was a flow. There was ease. It was fun.

What brought us together wasn’t just experience — it was that common language. A shared belief that weddings aren’t staged productions, but living, breathing, unpredictable moments meant to be felt, not forced.

We’re not here to direct your day — we’re here to feel it with you.

We embrace the beautiful chaos — the unplanned, the unscripted, the honest moments that make your day entirely your own. To us, this isn’t just storytelling. It’s a wild story, captured with an avant-garde attitude — A story that is raw, honest, and unapologetically yours

Hi, I'm Magdalene – photographer, artist, island soul. Since 2009, I’ve been chasing real-life love stories with my camera across sun-drenched Greek islands. I mix fine art (BA painting) with documentary vibes—zero posing, just raw magic. I’m not into cookie-cutter «epic love stories» — I’m all about crafting honest, cinematic memories.

Athens-born, island-rooted, BBC & Adobe-honored, mama of three, lover of hugs, cats, kimonos, and underwater silence. Wedding vibes light me up. So do jasmine, sushi, and sci-fi. Let’s make art out of your love.

YOUR VIDEOGRAPHER

Hey, I’m Nikos — I’m an event cinematographer based in Athens, mostly drawn to weddings, but you’ll often find me filming all over the place. My style? Think raw emotions, real moments, and zero cheesy drama. I don’t do one-size-fits-all approach. I believe that my work isn’t about ticking boxes — it’s all about telling a story…YOUR story…in a way that actually feels yours.

I like to stay in the background, quietly capturing everything with no interference, no scripts, no posing — just honest storytelling that brings you right back to that moment, even years later.

FAQs

  • We are reachable via WhatsApp, email, Instagram DMs, Google Meet, or even a real-life coffee (or cocktail!) if you are nearby. The method doesn't matter as much as the importance of actual connecting.

  • You’ve watched the films, stalked our photos, and you feel it — we’re a match. Once we confirm availability, a 30% deposit seals the deal and locks your date in our calendar. 

    (Rest of the payment is due on the wedding day)

  • Everything. Yes, really.

    We’re not about setting timers or counting hours. We stay until we have everything we need to tell your story — authentically, beautifully, and without any forced goodbyes by the clock.

    Note: Travel, accommodation and expenses are not included…but we promise not to order room service on your tab

  • For a full-day wedding, you’ll receive:

    500–700 print-ready, high-resolution images. Hand-edited gems, capturing everything from quiet moments to wild dance floor spins. No stiff poses — just the real, the raw, and the ridiculously good times.

    Two films:

    • A 2–3 min short film 

    • A 14-18 min feature film 

    Pre-wedding online consultation: Let’s get cozy (virtually speaking). We’ll hop on a video call and chat through your day’s flow, your dream vibe, and anything you want us to know so we can capture it all like longtime friends with cameras.

    Elopements? Custom packages always. Because no two adventures are the same.

  • Doc Edit is long-form footage, uncut from parts of your day such as the ceremony, vows, speeches…

  • Rolls x 36 exposures, with photos scanned in High Res

  • Yes, absolutely — extra coverage is always possible and totally up to what you’re planning. We really care about telling the full story of your wedding, not just the main day. Whether it’s brunches, welcome dinners, chilled-out moments with friends, or a relaxed couple shoot, we’re all in if it matters to you. Just let us know what you're thinking, and we’ll make it work.

  • Typically within 4 months. Sometimes sooner (hello, lucky stars). Sometimes a tad later (art takes time, promise).

  • We do — with love and serious vibes.

    Expect nostalgic, cinematic, indie, raw, and you.

    Our goal is to reflect your day as it felt, not just how it looked. 

  • If something really bugs you, yes — we can tweak. But please know that editing is delicate, time-intensive work, so changes come with an extra fee.

    Requests should be made within 2 weeks of receiving your final film.

  • Location scenery, sweeping landscapes, that “wow” establishing shot.

    We don’t use it for hovering awkwardly above your dance floor or guests waving at the sky — that’s not our vibe (or legal, most places).

  • Cue dramatic music — it’s never happened. But if it did, you'd get a full refund of everything paid. 

  • You’ll receive:

    A private online photo gallery with unlimited downloads for a whole year.

    Click, save, share, repeat. Your gallery will be password-protected, making it easy for grandma, your bestie, and that one cousin who missed the wedding to browse and download their faves.

    Regarding the video, you'll receive separate download links for everything in FULL RESOLUTION.

    Just don’t let them sit forgotten in a downloads folder — this is heirloom material!

    You don’t need a script.

    You don’t need Pinterest-perfect.

    You just need each other — and a story worth telling.

    So, if you’re all about ditching the traditions, embracing the wild, and living your day with heart and soul… we’ll be right there with you. If you’ve got your heart set on the Greek islands or elsewhere on this planet (and us!), don’t wait too long — dates here disappear faster than ouzo at a sunset party! As a boutique team, we take on a limited number of weddings each season so that we can deliver to each of our couples our full attention. 

    Booking 12–24 months in advance is ideal — especially for those dreamy summer weekends. The earlier, the better — island magic waits for no one!
